You don’t have to wait much longer to get your hands on the new Nintendo Switch. It’s almost here! Were you getting as impatient with waiting as we were? Bet you were! And for good reason, this gaming system changes everything. For the first time you get a handheld and console in one. How cool is that? So, what does this mean exactly? Well, say you start playing your game with the console on your TV and you need to leave your house, for whatever reason, normally you would have to stop playing. But now you don’t have to. All you need to do is switch the system to handheld mode and be on your way. But don’t worry, you no longer have to worry about tiny handheld screen. This one is huge! It’s even bigger than the screen on the Nintendo Wii U controller. The controller contains three pieces, the right and left Joy-Con, and middle section. Honestly, the middle section does nothing. It’s just nice if you want a lager controller when playing. The Joy-Cons are the actual controllers. They are similar the remote from the Wii in the way they can be used vertically or horizontally. You can use the handheld in one of two ways: by connecting the Joy-Cons to each side and using it like a regular handheld or in tabletop mode. In tabletop mode you can prop the screen up using the stand on the back and use it as a TV for two player games. Each player would use a Joy-Cons as their controller to play. Now let’s talk about the games! Yes, Zelda looks amazing and great for when you’re alone but there’s another game being released that looks fun to play with friends and family. It’s called 1-2-Switch and will be available the same day as the console. In this game you face off against your opponent in different competitions. But here’s the cool part, you actually face each other instead of the TV. Use your Joy-Con to beat your friends in a wild west dual, copycat dance-off, or one of the other competitions this game has to offer. You are going to have a lot of fun with this console. But we’re sure you already knew that.
