A Bathing Ape and its founding parent company Nowhere are currently celebrating their 20th anniversary with special events and collections in Tokyo. For the first time ever, the brand has opened up its Tokyo studio to the public, and guests are treated to an extensive display of items from the BAPE archives, as well as some of Nigo’s vintage and pop art, toys and cars. Another room of the studio is set up as a shop, selling a range of special 20th anniversary items, including many exclusives. An anniversary box set includes a t-shirt, cap and sticker, and only 300 were made, meaning most sold out on the very first day of the exhibition. There are also t-shirts using camo and other patterns from the BAPE archives; cushions and bean bag chairs; headphones and iPhone covers; and much more. The exhibition runs now through November 24, but most items in the shop are expected to sell out much sooner than that.
