Nintendo already announced that it will be releasing a miniature version of its classic NES gaming console in the West, but now we have learned that the company will also be giving customers in Japan an exclusive chance to purchase another retro machine.
The Famicom Mini is based on the design of Nintendo’s classic Family Computer console, only much smaller. This pint-sized machine includes two controllers and is loaded with 30 classic games released between 1983 and 1993, and all of that will fit in the palm of your hand. It can also be connected to the television using an HDMI cable.
Games included on the Famicom Mini include Donkey Kong, Mario Brothers, Pac-Man, Super Mario Brothers, The Legend of Zelda, and many more. It goes without saying that all games are in Japanese, but none of them are exactly text-heavy, so we expect most people will be able to get the hang of them pretty quickly.
The mini Family Computer is due to be released on November 10 and will only be available in Japan. Pre-order yours now so you can be sure to get in on the action. The retro cool console is sure to impress your friends, especially since you would normally have to make a trip to Japan to get it. Order now and we’ll ship it to you anywhere in the world once it’s released!
